About SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital

A partnership between SSM Health and Select Medical, the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Our network includes three inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and 10 day institutes in the Saint Louis, Missouri metro area and one inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our continuum of care also spans 90+ outpatient therapy centers. We serve a diverse patient population, from complex acute inpatient rehabilitation cases to outpatient sports medicine for high-level athletes.

Cindy's story
Rushed by ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital, Cindy underwent extensive neurological testing, including an MRI and a lumbar puncture, also known as a spinal tap, which is a test used to diagnose certain health conditions. Cindy was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves, resulting in weakness and paralysis.
