INOVA Specialty Hospital, a joint venture between Select Medical Corporation and Inova Health System, is the first critical illness recovery hospital in Northern Virginia. The 32-bed specialty hospital provides world-class inpatient post-acute services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery but no longer need the intensive care provided in an acute care hospital. The mission of the hospital is to provide high quality and safe care that enables patients to heal, recover and return to their community. With the addition of INOVA Specialty Hospital, Inova's continuum of care has been expanded, leading to improved long-term patient outcomes.
