Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist
Location: 9145 Narcoossee Road A 204 Orlando, FL 32827
Schedule: Part Time Mon - Fri 8-5 or 9-6
Compensation: Starting at $45+/hr. Starting rate calculated by experience.
We are seeking a Part Time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist with experience working in outpatient with hands/splinting, post operative care to grow hand therapy program at our Lake Nona center. Initially 16-24 hours, opportunity to increase hours, potential for full time as patient caseload grows. A certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, but we are willing to consider occupational therapists with 1 year of experience working with hand patients. We can mentor an occupational therapist aspiring to be a certified hand therapist. We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support. Let's foster your growth!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
- Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
- Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required
- Minimum 1 year current experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid driver’s license
