Position: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Vestibular, and Concussion

Location: NovaCare Chevy Chase MD

Status: Full Time 40 hours

We are open to consider physical therapist assistants of all experience levels able to support a new graduate licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) with defined mentorship program.

We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics with specialty services to include vestibular and concussion programs on top of general orthopedics and sports medicine.

Schedule: Full time 40 hours treating until 700PM twice a week. Last patient is schedule an hour prior to close. Early days begin at 730A.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
