Position: Developmental Therapist- Madison, IN
Location: 2420 Wilson Ave., Madison IN
Schedule: on an as needed basis; Monday-Friday no weekends
Compensation: starting at $45.00/hour
KORT Physical Therapy is seeking a Developmental Therapist to join our fun, collaborative multi-disciplinary team in Madison, IN! The Developmental Therapist is instrumental in the planning, evaluating, and implementation of developmental therapy treatment programs and activities for pediatric patients.
Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
Responsibilities
- Plans, conducts, and evaluates developmental therapy treatment/intervention programs and activities.
- Interprets physician referrals and determines appropriate treatment procedures.
- Makes recommendations concerning standardized treatments or intervention based on developmental indications.
- Completes patient treatments related to various physical skills and functional abilities.
- Interprets results and proposes a treatment/intervention plan in conjunction with other team members, including short and long range goals, frequency and duration.
- Provides treatment/intervention according to the prescribed plan, including task oriented activities, neuro-motor activities, and patient/family counseling and activities.
- Evaluates patient response to treatment/ intervention and makes recommendations on changes in treatment as required.
- Maintains records concerning treatment/intervention provided, including both subjective and objective data.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Early Childhood Education, special education, elementary education, developmental
psychology or related fields is required. - Credentialed/licensed for Developmental Therapy in state
of IN
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Steps experience
