Business Development Manager
The territory for this role will include:
Roanoke, Keller, North Richland Hills, Bedford, Grapevine, Southlake, Coppell, Carrollton, Flower Mound, Argyle and Denton
This position exists to increase market share and revenues through growing referral and patient base. Conducts cold-calls to physician offices, exhibits at local community events and collaborates with clinicians to identify marketing opportunities. Educate referral sources about rehabilitation services as related to industry changes, specific clinical programs and capabilities, clinical outcomes and appropriate patient referrals.
Responsibilities
The Sales Territory for this Business Development Manager will be based out of the Grapevine area. Working with othe BDMs, our Center Managers and Clinic Staff to create, develop and maintain relationships with Referral Sources, mainly Physician Offices. Business Administration OR 5 Years Business to Business Sales experience. Medical Sales experience would be ideal. Joining a team of experienced, professional, success-driven Sales Professionals.
- Define needs and develop specific strategies to increase market share with premium contracts.
- Develop and maintain relationships leading to referrals to the clinics or facilities within the market. This includes payors, referral sources and hospitals.
- Gain new contracts in the market by differentiating our services in the marketplace.
- Maintain present referral source relationship with the assistance and cooperation of Center Managers, Administrative Service Managers and clinicians.
- Arranges meetings with referring physicians and helps to bridge relationships with clinicians to ensure a quality continuum of care and to identify business opportunities.
- Assist the clinics to achieve revenue goals. Understand the business profiles of each clinic and ensure they are effectively packaged for marketability.
- Develop, monitor, and report on progress towards specific referral objectives and measurements.
- Develop a positive and favorable image of Baylor Rehab through activities in the disabled community and in the healthcare community in general. Promote and maintain excellent customer relations on all levels.
- Coordinates and promotes special events as necessary such as focus groups, round tables, CEU presentations, etc.
- Maintains monthly statistics and monitor and analyzes trends, opportunities and barriers. Utilizes data effectively in business development strategies and actions.
- Provides input into the development of direct marketing and collaterals.
- Coordinates with the Director of Marketing and Communications to ensure the proper authorization and use of the Baylor Rehab and BSWH logos.
- Provide in-services to educate and increase referral sources knowledge of Baylor Rehab’s services.
- Obtain feedback on services from payors and referral sources. Provide to regional team and clinic.
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related (credentials)
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
2. Strong communication and presentation skills, formal sales training, preferred.
3. Proficiency in Windows-based office technologies (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel) required.
4. At least 5 years of sales experience in a service or healthcare related industry, cold-calling,making presentations, and contract negotiations.
5. Prefer 5+ years’ experience in healthcare services including managed care sales.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Current State Driver’s License in good standing required.
