Outpatient Orthopedics, Aquatics, Sports Medicine and Vestibular
NovaCare is seeking an outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant in Pikesville Maryland!
NovaCare Pikesville Maryland is seeking a FULL time licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) for our outpatient orthopedic center in Baltimore County. We have a large clinical team of PTs and PTAs able to consider licensed PTAs of all experience levels. We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics with a vibrant aquatics program. Our aquatics caseload averages 25% of your full time schedule.
Additional specialty services include gait and balance and vestibular on top of general orthopedics. We treat everyone from teens through geriatrics and will require some evenings until 730pm with a half day Saturday rotation. Last patient is scheduled an hour prior.
Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Schedule: Monday through Friday 40 hours to include two evenings working until 730pm.
Half day Saturday rotation is possible, based on population needs.

Compensation starting at $26.00/hr. commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
- Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
- Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
- Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
- State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
