Occupational Therapist - Full time
Select Medical complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation depends upon candidate's years of experience and internal equity. Minimum Salary: $73,840.

Responsibilities
Seeking a full time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary Real Life Rehab team. Real Life Rehab is a home-based program serving patients with neurological impairment including brain injury and stroke, as well as other medically complex conditions including spinal cord injury, amputation, and neurodegenerative disease. The successful candidate will have experience with the neurological and medically complex patient populations, and a passion to provide patient-centered care. The goal of the program is to support safety and independence in the home environment and to increase community engagement. Patients often participate in Real Life Rehab during their transition from the inpatient rehabilitation setting to the outpatient setting. This program is strongly connected to the Outpatient Neurological Hub which includes traditional neurological outpatient and outpatient day programs in Dallas to facilitate an excellent continuum of care.
Position Summary
Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
Specific Duties
- Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals
- Participate in discharge planning including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
