Nursing Supervisor 

Monday - Friday

We are seeking a RN Nursing Supervisor at our Irving Baylor Rehab Hospital!

Candidates in this role will work Monday - Friday shift per week.

Responsibilities

The Nursing supervisor provides direct patient care and functions as part of the Nursing and interdisciplinary teams. You'll use the nursing process for systematically assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to maximize restoration and maintenance of the patient’s physical and psychological health and personal goals. Serve as an educator of patients, families and coworkers.

 


The Nursing Supervisor of Administers, directs and supervises the clinical care being provided by the nursing staff, which includes all Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, and Unit Secretaries. Serves as a resource and consultant for the clinical nursing care being rendered for the hospital. Provides and oversees nursing care, safety, and quality while maintaining hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives. Maintains approved standards of patient care, by collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Assists with disciplinary issues, staff mentoring and performance appraisals. Provides oversight for the hospital in collaboration with and in the absence of the CNO. Effectively communicates on multiple levels.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related credentials)

  1. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  2. BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred.
  3. Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required.
  4. CRRN required after meeting eligibility requirements.
  5. Previous rehabilitation or hospital experience preferred.
