Job Description
This position is remote and requires 100% travel. You will be working at different Critical Illness Recovery Hospital locations Monday through Friday each week.
Responsibilities
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Health Information and Credentialing Manager! The Interim Health Information & Credentialing Manager is responsible to support health information and credentialing functions onsite at Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals throughout the country. This full-time travel position requires independent judgment and the ability to support and implement process improvement activities and programs. Using discretion and independent judgment, the Interim Health Information/Credentialing Manager plans, organizes, and directs Health Information and/or Credentialing services to effectively carry out the functions and responsibilities of these areas, based with corporate and hospital goals and objectives, in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The Interim Manager is responsible for all paper and electronic medical record functions, including record processing and physician record completion, management of transcription, filing, storage/retrieval, the release of confidential information, and record maintenance as well as maintenance of medical and allied health staff credentialing files to meet regulatory requirements. The Interim Manager is responsible to align hospital activities with standard procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- RHIT, RHIA, CPMSM or CPCS credentials
- Three to five (3 - 5) of years experience in a Health Information and/or Credentialing Department
- Demonstrated leadership in health information and credentialing and the ability to work well in teams
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills and an assertive attitude are required with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of medical staff organization and credentialing activities is needed
- Proven success in relationship development, educating staff and physicians, knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards, leadership abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
