Critical Illness Recovery Hospital
Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-time Day Shift
Shift hours: 7am-7:30pm
Pay: $38.64-$52.00 per hour based on experience
Shift Differential:
$3.50 for night shifts
$3.00 for weekend shifts
Offering flexible scheduling
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Select Specialty Hospital is located in Pontiac on Woodward Avenue. As a 30-bed Critical Illness Recovery Hospital, we treat medically complex patients who need more support before starting their road to recovery. All of our patient rooms are private, as we believe this helps in creating a safe, relaxed, and collaborative environment for healing. We have specialized programs such as pulmonology, wound care, infection prevention, and physician rehab. These specialized programs, along with a team of trained and highly competent clinicians, gives our patients, included medically complex patients, exactly what they need to heal. Typically patients stay with us for 25-30 days, allowing our team to build rapport with patients and their families, which ultimately supports our patients recovery.

Responsibilities
You will ensure that the nursing care plan is being followed by being a Champion of the Select Medical Way, which includes putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, continuing to develop and explore new ideas, providing high-quality care and doing well by doing what is right.
- Receiving admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
- Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
- Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
- Promoting continuous quality improvement.
- Instructing and counseling patients/families.
Qualifications
You will demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each patient feels informed and understood, as well as heard. You are passionate about providing superior quality care and you are an inventive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Minimum requirements:
- Valid State RN License required.
- BLS required at hire.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RN must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).
Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:
- Clinical experience preferred.
