Job Description

The social media manager will join a growing, creative, talented and fun Communications & Branding team. This role partners closely with colleagues across various communications disciplines to develop and execute social media strategies that align with the business needs of Select Medical’s 1,900+ outpatient physical therapy centers and 400+ sports partnerships across the U.S.

Our mission in 2023 is to level up how we connect with and inform consumers about our outpatient rehabilitation services through compelling storytelling across our vast digital footprint.  From injury, illness or surgery recovery to achieving peak performance in a sport, this role is all about sharing the message about the power of physical therapy. 

 

Overall duties include driving strategy for creative, high-performing social media campaigns that align to national and market-level business priorities; executing digital advertising campaigns that drive engagement/conversion; managing incoming content from consumer sales team;  monitoring conversations across all platforms; training content contributors on best practices; setting KPIs and reporting performance analytics; and tracking competitors’ digital presence.      

 

This position reports to the outpatient division’s vice president communications and branding.

Responsibilities

  • Produces fresh, timely creatively written and visually-supported content for social media posts and campaigns.
  • Facilitates a consistent social media strategy alignment across all outpatient division brands and markets; shares best practices for unified success. 
  • Develops social media standalone and integrated campaigns, capturing data and insights so successes can be shared, duplicated and celebrated.  
  • Partners with consumer sales team in the overall goal to increase/enhance social media growth and establish a strategy and framework that promotes outpatient division services and brands targeting existing  and prospective patients. 
  • Ensures brand consistency through tone and voice across all social media content.   
  • Oversees creation and implementation of monthly social media editorial calendar. 
  • Develops a global view of social media trends and data as a way to broaden the division’s approach and leverage emerging opportunities to innovate within the ever-changing landscape. 
  • Monitors, responds to and escalates negative reviews based on established corporate process.  
  • Identifies and achieves the most relevant key performance indicators for campaigns events or initiatives. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of social media strategy and analytics experience in a corporate or agency environment, including proven track record of content program execution. 
  • High proficiency in both the strategic and tactical use of core platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). 
  • Creative thinking and strong written and oral communications.
  • Strong familiarity with web analytics, social media listening tools, keyword taxonomies and SEO concepts; certification in Google Analytics and/or Google AdWords a plus.
  • Working knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of graphic design principles and video editing skills a plus.
  • Consumer goods or retail background a plus.
  • Team works a hybrid schedule.
