Job Description

NovaCare Kids Pediatric Center in Kalamazoo and Plainwell, MI is seeking a PRN COTA!

NovaCare Kids is seeking a PRN COTA for our outpatient pediatric centers in Kalamazoo and Plainwell. This is a per diem position with potential for growth. We have additional occupational therapists on staff. We have multi-disciplinary teams in both clinics with PT and SLP services also offered. This is a dedicated outpatient pediatric center open 8am until 6pm Monday through Thurday and 8am-4pm on Fridays.  

You MUST have pediatric experience to be considered. 

Schedule: PRN as needed

Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour and up (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

  • Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
  • Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must have successfully completed (or be eligible to complete) the NBCOT examinations for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Possess Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state that the job is located in.
  • CPR Certification
