Physio is currently expanding our WorkStrategies PRN team and are seeking several PRN WorkStrategies Specialists for Onsite/Industrial setting coverage. These PRN positions are for licensed athletic trainers (ATC's), exercise physiologists, or individuals of similar background.

The person in this role would provide injury prevention services and coverage of current shifts as needed for a variety of onsite settings including distribution, manufacturing, and meat processing plants. Opportunities are also present to be trained in employment testing protocols and provide onsite testing for local hiring events as well as potential “paid” travel for regional hiring events.

This position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions. This person may be able to increase their hours by covering other onsite programs as needed including other injury prevention programs, sports tournaments, and local onsite employment testing.

Schedule: Shifts are varied depending on the contract including: 4 am to 11 am; 5 pm to 12 am; 8 am – 5 pm, or 3-4 hours of coverage once a week at a location.

Compensation: commensurate with experience, starting at $25/hr

More information will be provided during interview.  When coverage is requested, the person in this role is able to decide which shifts can be covered or not on a weekly/monthly basis. Many currently in this position have primary jobs and use this position for supplemental income.  

Physio and Select Physical Therapy are part of Select Medical Corporation's Outpatient Division, a nationally prominent, locally driven provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation with approximately 1900 locations in 39 states and the District of Columbia. Throughout the country we operate primarily as Select Physical Therapy, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Kessler Rehabilitation Center and KORT. Our highly respected clinical team provides preventative and rehabilitative services that maximize functionality and promote well-being. We develop individualized treatment plans to help achieve each patient's specific goals. Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Part time OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program Manager
  • Early Symptom Intervention with providing first aid services
  • Design and implement injury prevention strategies for the industrial setting, such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and behavioral modification
  • Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
  • Office ergonomics
  • Health and wellness consultation

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree REQUIRED
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification (if applicable)
  • GA State license (if ATC)
  • Industrial setting experience a plus
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
• Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community.
• Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing athletes, equipment, and supplies for treatment.
• Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
