Job Description
KORT is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopedics, sports and industrial medicine. Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our clinics, at employer sites, and with high school, college, and professional sports teams.
**You must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and BOC certified to be considered**
Compensation starting at $43,000 annual base. Potential for sign on bonuses and loan reimbursement programs!
Responsibilities
KORT Physical Therapy is seeking a Full Time Certified Athletic Trainer for JCPS Middle School.
This job duties are as follows:
- Covering JCPS Middle School events (primarily contact sports and tournaments, not day to day)
- Acting as an on-call resource via phone for middle school coaches/ADs in a region including helping with MD/PT referrals
- Acting as a second AT for some of our larger high schools as needed for days/weeks with multiple events.
- Will be based at Eastern HS, Male HS, and Pleasure Ridge Park HS as primary High School location, but may be asked to help at any of our JCPS High Schools when needed.
The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, care and treatment of all of the athletes. The Athletic Trainer will be required to cover all home varsity events and tournaments as well as coverage of varsity sports and away games.
Communication skills are a MUST in order to communicate with coaches, athletes, parents and physicians.
Must be NATA and CPR certified and eligible for KY State license.
Bachelors required, Masters preferred.
