Job Description

The Credentialing Coordinator reports to the Credentialing Manager and is accountable for assisting in all aspects related to credentialing and re-credentialing of Select Medical and non-Select Medical practitioners and facilities. Primary duties involve processing and maintaining practitioner credentialing information and performing all associated duties to insure Select's Credentialing Department operates according to National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare properly indexed files for all Network (Select Medical and non- Select Medical) practitioners and facilities.
  • Process incoming mail
  • Request missing information via phone, fax, letter, email
  • Maintain current copies of date sensitive documents in practitioner and facility files
  • Perform mail-outs
  • Assisting with before and after Credentialing Committee tasks
  • Pulling files, copying information, adding information and re-filing
  • Shredding of confidential documents
  • Coordinated efforts with other credentialing and Network Services personnel.
  • Meet or exceed productions standards established by management.
  • Alert Credentialing Coordinator/Supervisor/Director of any issues that need service representative follow-up.
  • Participate in development and coordination of departmental CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

High school degree required

 

Skills and abilities:

Familiarity with personal computers and Windows.

Strong analytical skills, including trouble shooting and problem solving.

Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills and able to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines and production requirements.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to quality improvement.
