Select Medical is building the best professional sales and marketing organization in the outpatient industry! We are recruiting for an ambitious and passionate Senior Director of Program Marketing to support the national outpatient rehabilitation sales and marketing function.  The Senior Director of Program Marketing will be responsible for developing and leading the Outpatient Division programs of excellence and business solutions marketing strategy.  This high-visibility role will create, lead, and manage marketing plans to generate awareness, interest, and commitment from key referral source segments to achieve the division’s business objectives.  This position will be responsible for hiring and leading a high-performance team of Content Development Managers and working cross-functionally with executive leaders of clinical services, business development, communications and branding, and outcomes.  The position will work remotely and will report to the Senior Vice President of Outpatient Marketing and Business Development.  Up to 20% travel is required. 


  • Build and execute an integrated program marketing strategy to differentiate and grow key outpatient programs of excellence nationwide
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to proactively identify new opportunities to reach current and prospective outpatient referral sources
  • Collaborate with strategic accounts, consumer sales, sales learning and development, and the national sales leadership team to develop high-impact sales tools and sales best practices
  • Integrate solutions into the sales process using sales education and CRM to drive sales acumen
  • Conduct regular industry and customer research; apply insights to develop the right message for each program based on voice of customer
  • Build and implement thought-leadership strategies to support programs of excellence; foster close partnerships between leading professional societies and internal key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Leverage programmatic KPIs including segment awareness, growth, and clinical outcomes to enhance program strategy and sales enablement tools
  • Present quarterly marketing updates to the executive leadership team

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience leveraging team member strengths to drive organizational capability
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of SEO/SMO best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, make well-informed decisions, and take decisive action
  • Customer-centric, insightful, and capable of transitioning needs of the field to action
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues across the organization
  • Analytical, compassionate, and empathetic with the ability to create engaging messages
  • Thrives in an environment of change; adapts quickly to shifting marketplace condition
  • Proficient in sales and marketing CRM and Microsoft Office (ex. MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive product or service marketing experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of healthcare marketing experience
  • People leadership experience preferred
