Job Description

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network in Bridgeton, MO is looking for a Per Diem Psychometrist!

As the leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation services in the St. Louis area, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital delivers the specialized care and advanced treatment that enables individuals with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement and other orthopedic trauma, and general medical rehabilitation needs, to rebuild their lives.

Description:

Under direct supervision of a licensed psychologist, provides clinical psychology/neurological assessment services to SSM Health Rehab patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Assist the neuropsychologists by administering and scoring standardized neuropsychological measures under the supervision of the neuropsychologist.

A combination of strengths in social/communication skills and attention to detail is what is required.  This is to elicit the patient’s maximal participation and at the same time obtain an objective, quantified assessment of neurocognitive functioning. 

The position requires the ability to travel to both Richmond Heights and Bridgeton, and involve work with outpatients and inpatients.

Responsibilities

Schedules neuropsychological assessments with attention to available testing space and materials, as well as clinical priority as determined by the psychologist.

Conducts neuropsychological assessments with attention to confidentiality.

Records behavior observations in detail.

Submits billing information to psychologist and maintains accurate and timely records of all assessments.

Maintains inventory of neuropsychological measures.

Becomes competent in and provides training to other psychometrists and to psychology assistants in the administration of new neuropsychological measures.

Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in conducting neuropsychological assessments required.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Abilities to learn and teach neuropsychological measures, observe confidentiality and standardization, and demonstrate accuracy, reliability and organizational skill
