Neuropsychologist / Rehabilitation Psychologist

The Department of Psychology at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation at Frisco has an immediate opening for a Licensed Psychologist to join our expanding Behavioral Health services.

Baylor Scott and White Rehabilitation Dallas is a dynamic team and full of opportunity for the right candidate to make a difference in the lives of patients experiencing catastrophic injury and illness.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Psychologist with experience in Rehabilitation Psychology and/or Neuropsychology to assist in our inpatient and day treatment programs on a per diem basis.  Our inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient rehabilitation programs are CARF accredited, and our inpatient hospital holds certifications from The Joint Commission in Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke Rehabilitation. Our department consists of 3 full-time psychologists and 2 licensed professional counselors, and our hospital is part of the BSWIR system that includes DFW and Central Texas. Our Frisco inpatient program serves a diverse group of patients with CVA, TBI, SCI, amputation, and medically-complex presentations , while our day treatment program primarily serves patients post-ABI with a focus on return to work/school. This role would support full-time staff on the Frisco campus.

A Neuropsychologist provides psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling and crisis intervention to patients and families. Conducts neuropsychological evaluations and/or testing. Provides recommendations and consultations to staff members regarding patient care matters.

Qualifications

 Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related credentials)

  1. Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Clinical, Counseling, Health or School Psychology required with specific training in Neuropsychology and/or Rehabilitation Psychology preferred.
  2. Current and valid state licensure as a Psychologist required.
  3. Medicare Provider eligibility.
  4. One or more years of post-doctoral experience in practice of psychology required.
  5. Neuropsychological practice within a rehabilitation setting preferred.
  6. Certified BLS completion required; for new hires, see CPR Requirement Guidelines for New Hires.
