Neuropsychologist / Rehabilitation Psychologist - Inpatient Rehab

Seeking a Neuropsychologist / Rehabilitation Psychologist with at least one year experience in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke and other life changing injuries and illness. We are looking for a Psychologist with an interest not only in diagnostic assessment but counseling and program development.

As part of ongoing expansion and reorganization of the psychology department as an integrated collaborative driver of our continuum of care model, we are seeking Neuropsychologists and Rehabilitation Psychologists to join the BSWIR Dallas Campus Psychology Department. BSWIR Dallas is part of the Baylor University Medical Center’s campus near downtown Dallas and includes the BSWIR flagship hospital – a 92-bed facility specializing in the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other conditions – the post-acute rehabilitation day program for acquired brain injuries, outpatient clinic for neuropsychological and psychological services, and coming soon, the post-acute transitional living program.

We are currently seeking psychologists to work with our inpatient traumatic brain injury program, post-acute ABI rehabilitation program, and/or provide neuropsychological evaluations to patients served through our outpatient clinic. Opportunities to participate in TBIMS research and program development are available. We are also currently seeking a psychologist to primarily work with our inpatient spinal cord injury program, provide education and support groups, and actively participate in program development as a member of the BSWIR SCI Partnership Council. Additional populations served may include polytrauma, stroke, organ transplant, neuro-oncology, cardiac rehabilitation, amputation, and others. Overall responsibilities include emphasis on cross-disciplinary team participation, and providing comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological services across the continuum of care. Applicants with complementary experience in research and program development are desirable. A Neuropsychologist provides psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling and crisis intervention to patients and families. Conducts neuropsychological evaluations and/or testing. Provides recommendations and consultations to staff members regarding patient care matters.


  • Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology required. Neuropsychology degree preferred
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Psychologist required
  • One or more years of post-doctoral experience in practice of psychology required. Neuropsychological practice within a
    rehabilitation setting preferred
  • Licensed or license eligible in the State of Texas
