Wound Care Nurse - RN- Acute Rehab Hospital - Full Time 


At California Rehabilitation Institute our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Wound Care Nurse - RN -  to join our team.

Job Summary

Provides clinical leadership for the wound care program to enhance quality of care and outcomes across all campuses. Acts as a nursing educator providing ongoing nursing education activities including nursing orientation, patient and family teaching and other nursing education initiatives under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.


Job Specific Duties

5Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand the perceived needs of others and communicate empathetically in addressing the concerns and needs of patients and others around them.
6Promotes workplace safety through safe behaviors and by identifying potential risks, addressing them whenever possible and communicating those risks to appropriate individuals and/or supervisor.
7Follows all hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality.
8Based on the Competency Program established for direct care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria.


•  Valid California RN License required.  Previous hospital nursing experience required.
•  Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
•  WCC required. CWCN, CWOCN or CWS preferred, or certification pending within 1 year. 
•  Certified BLS and ACLS required. 
•  Excellent presentation skills and organizational skills required.
