SSM Rehabilitation is looking for a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our team!

SSM Rehabilitation Hospital's three inpatient rehabilitation units are located within acute care hospitals (SSM St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, and SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles) or operate as a stand-alone hospital (the 60-bed SSM Bridgeton Hospital in Bridgeton). This wide footprint in the greater St. Louis area provides patients with convenient, on-site access to very specialized medical care during their rehabilitative stay.
Under direct supervision, assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy.
Fills medication carts under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Prepares IV piggyback medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Orders, unpacks and stores supplies, verifies items received against invoices and stores perishables in refrigerators.
Delivers supplies and medications to various departments as needed.
Fills floor stock requests.
Produces labels via computer for requested medications.
Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to appropriate vendor.
Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.
Performs other duties as requested.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One to two year’s experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician preferred.
Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required.
Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred.
