At Great Lakes Specialty Hospital our services have been designed for patients who are critically ill and need a longer acute hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned veterans. Occupational – Rehab – Therapy – Hospital –  Healthcare  - Medical


Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist you will develop and ensure the plan and appropriate treatment specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Other requirements of the Occupational Therapist role include: 

  • Participates in discharge planning for each patient including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
  • Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Supervises OT and COTA students 
  • Exhibits “customer service” attitude
  • Communicates with patients and/or family members
  • Instills confidence in team members, patients, and families
  • Timely and accurate documentation
  • Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met

Qualifications

As an Occupational Therapist, you must be able to deliver superior quality in all that you do. We are seeking results-driven team players who treat patients as if they were their own family members. Qualified candidates must be passionate about providing a superior quality of care. You must also be a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Other requirements of the Occupational Therapist role include: 

  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Successful completion of the National Registry Examination.
  • Valid BLS
  • Positive, caring and customer-service-oriented attitude
