Assistant Athletic Trainer. Full Time. 10 Month Contract. Hammond, IN

Select Physical Therapy in NW Indiana is seeking multiple full time Athletic Trainers (ATC) for 10 month contract assignments at a Division II College located in Hammond, IN. Sports of focus will be basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, baseball, ice hockey as well as additional sports teams. Applicants must have two years previous experience as an athletic trainer in a collegiate setting and an active Indiana license as an athletic trainer.  Position begins January 2021!

The successful candidate will enforce health care policies and procedures regarding medical insurance, physical examinations, and related activities for student-athletes. Additional administrative duties including, but not limited to: input of daily medical records, daily coaches’ reports, completion of appropriate insurance claims forms, and any other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer or Athletics Director(s).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for patient care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Involved in the Athletic Training Services program, participation in the coverage of school athletic events and practices.
  •  Designs and implements specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of the injured athlete

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree REQUIRED
  • Minimum one year clinical experience
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Applicable state license where required
