What We Love to See:
We would love to see one to two years of collections, or high volume medical billing/ insurance claims processing experience. A love of numbers and great computer skills.
The Impact You'll Make:
You will follow-up on unpaid accounts that are at least 60 days old with the intention of collecting balances due.
- You will contact the party to establish the reason for delinquency, document in the system all communication relative to an overdue account, and institute timely follow-up with a responsible party as a result of the last contact to assure progress in resolving the account with the payment. Review accounts with initial evaluations as early as 21 days old in order to prove that clean claims are reaching the accurate payor.
- You will make outgoing calls to patients, insurance companies and attorneys regarding claim status in order to reduce both outstanding receivables and DSO.
