Clinical Nutrition Manager - Full Time

 

 

At West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nutrition Manager plans, coordinates and manages the clinical nutrition operations and dietitian staff. Primary responsibilities include supervising, mentoring and assigning work to clinical dietitians and may include diet office staff; maintaining compliance with policies, standards of practice and clinical programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective patient care; monitoring clinical competencies for safety, efficacy and evidence-based practice; recruiting, hiring and orienting staff; acting as a nutrition resource to hospital management, medical, clinical and food service staff; and maintaining professional competency and skills for professional practice. The Clinical Nutrition Manager provides quality medical nutrition therapy to patients, including the assessment of nutritional needs, development of nutrition care plans and implementation of interventions in collaboration with the multi-interdisciplinary team.  Participates in multi-interdisciplinary rounds and provides nutrition education to patients and families.  Assists in implementation of quality control measures to identify and rectify clinical nutrition issues. Implements established departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Follows standard practices and complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with major studies in food and nutrition or related field required. Master's degree preferred
  • Current and valid registration as a Registered Dietitian by Commission of Dietetic Registration
  • Current state licensure/certification as required by the state of practice
  • Minimum 3-5 years clinical nutrition experience required. One ore more years of experience in supervision
