Job Description

Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL has an immediate need for local PRN ATCs to provide coverage for our high schools and collegiate sports outreach in your community. Must be willing to travel with reliable transportation! Flexibility is a MUST as hours are not guaranteed. We are seeking to build our per diem (PRN) pool of athletic trainers for coverage as needed between our sports contracts and outpatient center needs in the area.


Hours Needed: Typical hours of a high school athletic trainer 11am – 7pm most days; some early mornings, some later evenings but they are subject to change based on need.


Eligible for Alabama Licensure within 1 month of hire

BLS-CPR Certified within 1 month of hire

  • Responsible for patient care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Involved in the Athletic Training Services program, participation in the coverage of school athletic events and practices.
  • Designs and implements specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of the injured athlete



  • BS Degree REQUIRED
  • Minimum one year clinical experience
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Applicable state license where required
